SportVue PRO™ is our HUD for industrial applications. Similar to SportVue, this
application of Motion Research's HUD technology is based on customer-driven requirements
such as functionality and costs. Our current design allows for price points
never previously reached by other HUD companies. At the same time, the current
designs functionality and simplicity is such that information overload is avoided
and allows users to achieve their primary tasks efficiently and effectively.
The following are SportVue PRO™ features and benefits:
- Lightweight and compact - Users may already be burdened with other critical monitoring and
safety equipment. At a weight of 2.4 ounces with a self-contained power source
included, SportVue PRO™ has very minimal impact to the overall weight of the user's gear.
Mobility thru wireless data transmission - Real-time data is transmitted wirelessly and hands-free, minimizing its effect on the user’s mobility.
Interface - The proprietary, user-friendly interface is simple and provides a good balance of functionality and security. This interface is also programmable which allows for versatility of the content displayed in the HUD.
Light Condition Adaptability - The presence of the patented ambient light window and LED backlighting allows for versatility in various light conditions. For example, two-level backlighting can be used for darker environments. For brighter conditions, the ambient light window gathers the appropriate light and automatically adjusts the display light level. This allows for one of the brightest daylight-visible HUD displays ever made.
Task-focused - For quick data access, the display itself is visible in the periphery and focused at task length (3 - 24 feet). This unique feature is very critical, especially in emergency situations as it allows for minimal change in focus by the user.
Mount Versatility – SportVue PRO™’s patented form factor allows it to be mounted on various headgear such as helmets, hard hats and soft baseball type caps.
Display Versatility - The display presents the both scrolling and fixed text and numerical and graphical data in a clear and bright image that´s easy to read. You see and instantly grasp critical data. Overrides can easily be setup to inform the user of critical levels. This display has applicability in a number of industrial, military and law enforcement applications, including digital multi-meters, inventory control equipment, crane operations, firefighting and other extreme occupations.
SportVue PRO will meet the needs of workers in numerous occupations who have task or mission-critical data requirements and who currently have to access that data using their hands or by moving their eyes away from their primary task. SportVue PRO is a low-cost, lightweight numerical and text messaging display that uses serial and USB inputs for very broad range of applications.
MRC has just announced the availability of its first developers kit - DK1 - to meet the demands of potential occupational and industrial users. DK1 is a complete package which allows customers to license a low-cost, turn-key system that includes SportVue PRO hardware; a MRC-designed software suite including a GUI and API interface with a laptop or PC; and hard and soft hat mounts. In other words, DK1 contains all the hardware and software you will need to integrate to your system.
Motion Research is also developing the Autonomous Personal Data Receiver and Transmitter system (APDRT), which integrates existing technology with human factor features and control enhancements. APDRT incorporates technology advances in the fields of position location, tracking and data acquisition. Data transmission technology is in place to support information transfer locally and worldwide. By using existing components and technologies, Motion Research's APDRT promises to be a low-life-cycle-cost product for use in government, civil or military environments.
